Alex Lockard has an extensive work experience in the field of civil engineering, focusing on renewable energy projects. Alex has held various roles in different companies, starting with URS Corporation in 1997 as a Civil/Transportation Engineer (Transit). Alex then worked for Bechtel Infrastructure as a Field Construction Engineer in 2000, followed by PBS Engineering and Environmental as a Civil/Transportation Engineer from 2001 to 2003. Lockard then joined WHPacific Inc as a Civil/Transportation Engineer in 2003 and worked there until 2004.
Lockard's experience continued at David Evans and Associates, Inc., where they served as a Senior Transportation Design Engineer from 2004 to 2007. During this time, they also provided support for wind energy projects through civil/roadway conceptual design and on-site engineering.
From 2007 to 2010, Lockard worked at Tetra Tech as a Project Manager and Senior Civil Engineer. Alex supported the development of wind and solar energy projects nationwide and was also part of an international team working on projects for the US Department of Energy's Second Line of Defense program.
In 2010, Lockard joined Vestas as a Construction Project Manager and Civil Engineer. Alex collaborated with internal and external resources to support the development, sales, and construction of commercial utility-scale wind farms in the US, Canada, and other regions.
Currently, Lockard is working at Avangrid Renewables since 2016. Alex started as a Project Engineering Manager - Civil, responsible for the civil engineering and construction of utility-scale wind and solar energy projects. In recent years, they have held the role of Lead Civil Engineer, overseeing onshore wind and solar projects and now focusing on Green Hydrogen projects in the USA.

Alex Lockard attended Oregon State University from 1989 to 1994, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. Prior to that, they completed their high school education at Mountain View Senior High School from 1984 to 1986, obtaining a diploma. In addition to their degree, they also hold a certification as a Registered Professional Engineer, which was obtained from the Washington State Department of Licensing in May 2006.
