Case Dekoning

Case deKoning is an English teacher currently employed at Cambridge Public Schools since August 2023 and previously served as a guest English teacher and assistant theatre director at East Lansing Public Schools. With experience as a verse writer for Avanti Press since July 2019, Case has also worked as a substitute teacher through Edustaff and fulfilled roles at various educational institutions, including the Latin School of Chicago as a senior counselor and Michigan State University College of Arts and Letters as a peer mentor. Additional experience includes serving as a barista at Starbucks, podcast coordinator for The State News, summer camp counselor at The Henry Ford, and usher for the Wharton Center for Performing Arts. Case holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and Theatre from Michigan State University, a Graduate Certificate in English/Language Arts Teacher Certification, and is pursuing a Master of Arts in English Literature at UMass Boston, anticipated to be completed in May 2026.
