Rupert Rawnsley has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Rupert is currently the Chief Science Officer and Technical Director at Avantis Education, where they lead the development of virtual reality and educational tablet solutions. Prior to this, they were the Director of Research & Development at Keima. Rupert also worked as a Senior Software Developer at Actix, where they contributed to the development of telecommunications optimization software products. Before that, they worked as a Senior Developer at ComOpt, specializing in automatic optimization software for the mobile telephone industry. Earlier in their career, they held positions at Agilent Technologies, Cardiff University, and the University of Southampton. In these roles, they undertook research and development projects related to telecommunications and digital telephone systems.
Rupert Rawnsley obtained their PhD in Automatic Cell Planning from the Department of Computer Science at the University of Wales, Cardiff, from 1997 to 2001. Prior to that, they completed their MEng in Information Engineering at the University of Southampton from 1991 to 1995.
