Laurent Baron

Laurent Baron has extensive experience in the life sciences and biotechnology sectors, currently serving as a Sales Application & Solutions Specialist for Equipment and Instrumentation at Avantor since November 2023. Previously, Baron held the position of Commercial Lead APJ at Verogen, where responsibilities included driving commercial success for the NGS Forensics business in the APAC region. As the Director and Founder of Singular Matters Pte Ltd, Baron established Singapore's first traditional cheese-making company. Notable past roles also include Business Consultant at AsiaBioConsult, Business Manager for Greater China at HighRes Biosolutions, and various significant positions at Hamilton Company, where Baron developed strategic initiatives that positioned Hamilton Robotics as a leader in forensic DNA automation. Baron began their career in genomics and sequencing at Visible Genetics Inc., the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute, and Genethon, contributing to key projects in the Human Genome Project. Education includes a BTS in Biotechnology from ENCPB.
