Amy Ishiguro has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Amy started their career as an Undergraduate Researcher at the MIT Institute for Medical Engineering and Science in 2014. Amy also worked as a Machinery and Vibrations Intern at Mitsubishi Electric Advanced Technology R&D Center and as a Technical Support Intern at Dassault Systèmes Solidworks Corporation in 2014 and 2015 respectively. In 2015, they joined the MIT Undergraduate Practice Opportunities Program (UPOP) as an Employer Relations Production Assistant.
In 2016, Amy joined Apple as a Manufacturing Design Engineer and worked there until 2019. During their time at Apple, they contributed to the development of manufacturing designs. Following that, from 2019 to 2022, they worked at AEye, Inc. in various roles, including NPI Engineer, Sr NPI Engineer, and Sr Mechanical Engineer. Amy'sresponsibilities included mechanical engineering and product development.
Between 2021 and 2023, Amy worked at SOLOSecure, Inc as a Simulation Consultant, where they specialized in simulations. Amy then moved on to Ayur Technologies as a Mechanical Design Engineer for a brief period from January to April 2023. Currently, they are employed as an Opto-mechanical Engineer at Avegant, starting in May 2023.
Amy Ishiguro attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2012 to 2016, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering. In August 2015, they obtained a certification as a SolidWorks Designer (CSWP) from an institution.
