Josh Angrist

Josh Angrist has worked in the field of economics since 1996, when they began their role as a Professor of Economics at MIT. In 2011, they took on the role of Director at MIT Blueprint Labs. In 2020, they co-founded Avela Education, a company that provides software and services to empower school districts to support parents, run enrollment lotteries, and make data-driven decisions. Their first product is a platform for facilitating talent placement.

Josh Angrist attended Oberlin College from 1978 to 1982, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics. Josh then attended Princeton University from 1985 to 1989, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Economics.
