Matt Clark

Matt Clark, PhD has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Matt is currently serving as the Vice President of Business Development and Portfolio Management at Avenacy, where they lead the business development for US generic pharmaceuticals, focusing on the hospital setting. Matt is responsible for new product acquisition, overall portfolio management, and coordinating cross-department product launches.

Prior to their role at Avenacy, Matt was the Senior Director and Head of Product Development Operations at Athenex from August 2021 to July 2023. Before that, they held the position of Senior Director of Marketing at Athenex from December 2020 to August 2021.

Matt also has experience as the CEO and Co-founder of L~evation, LLC, a multi-purpose LLC. Matt co-founded the company and served as the CEO from January 2020 to December 2020, actively contributing as a voting board member.

Earlier in their career, they held various roles at Astellas Pharma US, including Director of Customer Engagement from July 2017 to November 2019, Director of Advanced Analytics and Franchise Insights from December 2015 to July 2017, Director of Commercial Strategy and Innovation from January 2014 to December 2015, and Associate Director of Launch Excellence from April 2012 to January 2014.

Before joining Astellas Pharma US, Matt worked as a Management Consulting Senior Practice Executive at Campbell Alliance from September 2007 to April 2012.

Their early career includes roles as an Associate Intellectual Property Project Manager at UChicagoTech from May 2006 to September 2007, a Mental Health Case Worker at Trilogy, Inc from May 1996 to August 1997, and the Human Behavioral Pharmacology Laboratory Manager at the University of Chicago from June 1994 to May 1997.

Matt Clark, PhD received their Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Washington University in St. Louis. Matt then went on to earn a Master's degree in Pharmacology from UT Health San Antonio. Finally, they completed their education with a PhD in Cancer Biology from the University of Chicago.
