Steve Collett

Steve Collett serves as the Chief Strategy Officer and Chief People Officer at Aveng, effective February 2024. Prior to this role, Steve held the position of Executive General Manager People & Group Strategy at McConnell Dowell from April 2016 to February 2024, overseeing human resources and group strategy development. Steve’s extensive career at Orica spanned over a decade, where roles included Vice President HR for Australia, Pacific, and Indonesia, as well as Global HR leadership roles across multiple divisions and regions. Steve began professional pursuits as an Industrial Relations Consultant at Heelan & Co from June 1998 to April 2005. Steve Collett holds a Bachelor of Economics (Honours) from The University of Western Australia, with a focus on Economics, Industrial Relations, Human Resource Management, and Industrial Psychology.
