Katerina Ekmekci

Katerina Ekmekci is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in transforming engineering teams and driving business initiatives. Currently serving as the Head of Engineering and a member of the Management Team at Avenue One since March 2023, Katerina has successfully transitioned the Engineering department into a high-performing organization and implemented processes that foster organizational maturity. Prior experience includes a Managing Director role at Annaly Capital Management, where Katerina managed key business initiatives, and previous leadership positions at C12 Capital Management and Barclays Capital, where management of development teams and project execution were key responsibilities. Katerina's career began at JP Morgan Chase and Deutsche Bank, focusing on application development and business analysis. Katerina holds a BA in Information Technology with a Minor in Economics from Pace University.
