Michael Leggett, CISSP

Michael Leggett, CISSP, has gained extensive work experience in the field of IT and cybersecurity. Michael currently serves as a Solutions Architect at Avertium since February 2022. Prior to this, Michael worked at Lumen Technologies, where they held multiple roles, including Solutions Engineer from December 2020 to February 2022, and Security SME & AM II from February 2019 to December 2020. Michael also worked at Converged Technology Professionals, Inc. as a Major Accounts Executive from March 2018 to February 2019. Michael'searlier experience includes working as an Account Executive at Windstream Enterprise from February 2015 to February 2018.

Michael Leggett, CISSP, has a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy from UMass Boston, which they obtained from 2008 to 2011. Michael is currently pursuing a Master of Science (MS) degree in Cybersecurity from the Georgia Institute of Technology, expected to be completed in 2024.

In addition to their academic achievements, Michael has obtained several certifications to enhance their professional skills. Michael became a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) in October 2021 through the institution (ISC)². Michael also holds certifications such as Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) from (ISC)², CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, and AWS Solutions Architect SAA-02 from CompTIA and Amazon Web Services (AWS) respectively. Moreover, they have acquired the Azure Fundamentals certification from Microsoft in March 2021, and certifications in Microsoft Security Operations Analyst, Microsoft Azure Security Engineer Associate, and Microsoft 365 Security Administration, all obtained from Microsoft.

Michael has also demonstrated their commitment to information privacy by obtaining the Certified Information Privacy Professional - United States (CIPP/US) certification in May 2023 from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). Through their educational background and certifications, Michael Leggett has developed a strong foundation in cybersecurity and continues to expand their expertise in the field.
