Ian Yip

Ian Yip is the Founder and CEO of Avertro, a cyber security startup that they launched in 2020. Prior to starting Avertro, Ian was an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at CyRise, where they participated in their 3rd cohort intake of companies. Ian was also part of Antler's first ever Sydney cohort (SYD1) of entrepreneurs, which led to the launch and funding of Avertro.

Ian has over 10 years of experience in the cyber security industry, having previously served as the Chief Technology Officer for McAfee in Asia Pacific, and as the Director of Cyber Security for EY. Ian has also held various product and business management roles at NetIQ and CA Technologies.

Ian Yip completed a Bachelor of Engineering in Software Engineering at UNSW.
