Tony Taylor has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Tony began their career in the U.S. Army, where they served as the Deputy Director of G3 Aviation for the Eighth United States Army, overseeing daily operations and making policy decisions. Tony then transitioned to the field of education, working as an Instructor in Doctrine and Tactics at the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, where they mentored and educated students on complex planning skills.
After their time in the army, Tony pursued a career in aviation. Tony worked as a Rotor Transition Program (RTP) Pilot at Coast Flight Training and later became a First Officer at Envoy Air and ExpressJet Airlines, operating as a regional carrier under the United Express brand. Tony then joined Air Wisconsin Airlines as a First Officer, providing safe and professional travel to passengers.
Tony also has experience in retail as a Retail Department Manager at Lowe's Home Improvement, where they supervised multiple departments and trained employees in various aspects of customer service. Additionally, they worked as a Senior Military Analyst at Apex Analytics Group Inc., utilizing their expertise in military strategy and analysis.
Most recently, Tony served as a Marine Deputy at the Grand Traverse County Sheriff's Office, where they enforced boating laws and provided marine rescue and recovery services. Tony currently holds the position of Operations Manager at Avflight Corporation.
Tony Taylor has a Master of Science degree in Adult and Continuing Education and Teaching, which they obtained from Kansas State University from 2006 to 2007. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology/Technician at Chicago State University from 1991 to 1995. Additionally, Tony has obtained several certifications including a Part 107 small UAS drone license from the Federal Aviation Administration in January 2023, an Airline Transport Pilot w/ERJ145 Type certification in September 2018, and a Commercial Helicopter Pilot certification in January 1996.
