Tanya Kwan

Tanya Kwan has extensive work experience in the field of biomarkers and molecular diagnostics. Tanya is currently working as a Senior Scientist in Biomarkers at Avidity Biosciences, Inc. since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Clovis Oncology as a Senior Scientist in Molecular Diagnostics from 2021 to 2022, and as a Scientist in Molecular Diagnostics from 2018 to 2021. Before joining Clovis Oncology, Tanya was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital from 2015 to 2017, where they developed a PD liquid biopsy assay to assess therapy response in ER+ BC. Tanya also has a background in academia, having completed their PhD at Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2009 to 2014.

Tanya Kwan completed their education with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Biology from Bowdoin College, where they studied from 2004 to 2009. After that, they pursued further studies and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where they attended from 2009 to 2014. Additionally, they have obtained a certification titled "From the Laboratory to Leadership" from The Leadership Edge in November 2022.
