Simon Tye

Simon Tye is an accomplished aviation executive with extensive experience in business development and search and rescue (SAR) operations. Currently serving as Chief Commercial Officer at Avincis since 2024, Simon previously held multiple leadership roles at Bristow Group from 1996 to January 2024, including Director of Business Development for Government Services. Notable achievements include developing successful growth strategies that secured over $3 billion in contracts, implementing transitional operations for the Dutch Caribbean Coast Guard, and leading the Bristow SAR team to win a significant UK SAR contract valued at £1.6 billion. Simon's career also includes leadership positions such as SAR Chief Pilot and Global Flight Operations Manager at British International Helicopters, as well as foundational education with a BSc in Mathematics and Computing Science from the University of Glasgow.
