Marcie Nagel, PMP, CISSP

Marcie Nagel has over 20 years of work experience in the field of cyber security and project management. Marcie is currently the Founder and CEO of Avint LLC, a position they have held since May 2018. Prior to this, Marcie was a Principal at Booz Allen Hamilton from April 2016 to May 2018, where they led a team of 190+ employees, subcontractors, and consultants to deliver cyber security solutions to various government agencies. During their time at Booz Allen Hamilton, Marcie achieved $1.7 billion in new business growth within 2 years.

Before joining Booz Allen Hamilton, Marcie served as the Vice President of Cyber Security Programs at VariQ from June 2014 to March 2016. Marcie was responsible for the successful execution of all cyber security tasks, including resourcing/team building, project planning, execution and monitoring, issue resolution, and financial reporting. Marcie also held the position of Director of CyberSecurity at VariQ from September 2012 to June 2014.

Prior to their role at VariQ, Marcie worked at the FBI as an IT Security Program Manager from 2008 to 2012, and before that, they were an Information System Security Manager from 2004 to 2008. Marcie began their career in the United States Air Force, where they served as an Information System Security Manager from 2002 to 2004, and as a C&A/Information Assurance Manager from 1998 to 2002.

Throughout their career, Marcie has demonstrated their expertise in cyber security and project management, consistently delivering successful outcomes and driving business growth.

Marcie Nagel, PMP, CISSP, has a strong educational background in information technology and business management. Marcie received their Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Information Technology from the Community College of the Air Force from 1998 to 2004. Marcie then went on to complete their Bachelor's of Science degree in Business Management at the University of Phoenix from 2006 to 2008. Continuing their education, they earned a Master of Science degree in Information Assurance from Norwich University from 2009 to 2010.

In addition to their formal education, Marcie has obtained several certifications to enhance their professional qualifications. Marcie obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) in December 2010. Marcie also holds the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from the International Information System Security Certification Consortium (ISC2), which they obtained in May 2007. Furthermore, they received the Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification from the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) in October 2008.
