Nick Kappatos

Nick Kappatos is currently working as a Principal Engineer and Chief Technologist at Avint since October 2020. Prior to that, Nick worked as a Senior Consultant at CGI from August 2016 to October 2020. Before their time at CGI, Nick held the position of Sr. Systems Engineer at CSRA Inc from August 2008 to August 2016. Nick started their career as a Systems Administrator at Fannie Mae from May 2000 to August 2008, where Nick specialized in Unix/Linux Systems Administration, SAN Storage Administration, and Production Application Support. Nick also worked as a Blast Design Engineer at Blast Design International from January 1998 to April 2000, designing high-tonnage blasts in open pit mines & rock quarries. Nick holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mining & Minerals Engineering from Virginia Tech College of Engineering.
