Robert Muhs

Robert Muhs has extensive experience in government affairs and counsel. Robert has been the Vice President of Government Affairs & Counsel at Avis Budget Car Rental, LLC since 2018. Robert also held the same position at Avis Budget Group from 1994 to 2011, where they managed and directed government affairs activities and served in leadership positions in travel-related trade organizations. Additionally, they managed litigation matters and had oversight of legislative, political, litigation, and investigative activities of the company. Prior to their roles at Avis Budget Group, Muhs worked as a Court Agent at Mid State Management from 1990 to 1992, as a Senior Regional Coordinator at the Office of the Minority Leader New York State Assembly from 1986 to 1989, and as a Legislative Assistant at the New York State Senate from 1981 to 1985.

Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Science from St. John's University, where they attended from 1986 to 1988.
