Stephanie Shrake has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. Stephanie started their career in 1994 at CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield as a Lead Financial Analyst, where they supported the Cost Allocation Team and was responsible for system enhancements, upgrades, and special projects. In 2012, Stephanie transitioned into the education field, working as a Business Education Teacher in Baltimore City Public Schools until 2018. During their time there, they contributed to the transformation of the education system. In 2018, Stephanie joined Avon Grove School District as a Business Education Technology Teacher. Stephanie also took on roles outside of the classroom, such as being an Advanced Placement Table Leader for The College Board's AP Computer Science Principles program. More recently, Stephanie has been involved with CSTA Longwood and the CSTA Computer Science Honor Society as a Founding President and a Board Member, respectively. Overall, Stephanie's work experience demonstrates their expertise in finance, education, and leadership.
Stephanie Shrake holds a Master of Education (MEd) degree in Secondary Education and Teaching from the University of Phoenix, which they earned between 2010 and 2012. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Management from Loyola University Maryland from 1997 to 1999. Stephanie's undergraduate education consists of a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting from Towson University, which they completed from 1986 to 1990. In addition to their formal education, Stephanie has also obtained multiple certifications throughout their career. These certifications include being a Certified Business Education Technology Teacher from the Pennsylvania State Education Association (obtained in July 2018), being an Advanced Placement: Computer Science Principles Certified teacher from the UTeach Institute (obtained in July 2017), being a Certified Teacher in Business Education from the Maryland State Education Association (obtained in July 2012), and being a Certified Public Accountant from the State of Maryland (obtained in November 1993).
