SVP of Business Development at AVT Simulation

Kevin V. has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Kevin started their career in 1989 as an Army Officer in the US Army, holding positions from 2nd Lieutenant to Colonel until 2014. From 2003 to 2006, Kevin served as the Executive Officer of the 2d Squadron 6th Cavalry, and from 2006 to 2007, they worked as an Army ROTC Professor of Military Science at The University of Texas at Austin. Later, they became the Battalion Commander of the 4-4 ARB "Gambler Guns" from 2007 to 2009. Kevin then served as the Deputy/Executive Officer/Training Officer at FORSCOM Aviation from 2009 to 2011. Kevin then became the US Army War College Fellow at Istituto Alti Studi per la Defesa for a year. From 2012 to 2014, Kevin stepped into the role of Brigade Commander at the 166th Aviation Brigade, Division West, First Army. Since 2014, they have been working as the SVP of Business Development at AVT Simulation.

Kevin V. began their education journey at St. Joseph's Prep, where they completed their high school education from 1981 to 1985. Kevin later attended Duquesne University, where they obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree from 1985 to 1989. To further their studies, Kevin V. attended the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center in 1997 and 1998, focusing on Italian language immersion. In 1999 and 2000, they pursued a Masters degree in Public Policy and Management at the University of Pittsburgh. Kevin V. then completed the Command and General Staff Course Resident at Ft Leavenworth, Kansas, from 2000 to 2001. Continuing their education, they enrolled in Sapienza Università di Roma from 2011 to 2012, earning a Master's Degree in Global Strategy and Security. Additionally, during this period, Kevin V. participated in the US Army War College Fellowship program at Istituto Alti Studi per la Difesa (IASD).
