Axel Alonso

Axel Alonso is a seasoned professional in the comic book industry, currently serving as the Chief Creative Officer at AWA Studios since January 2018. Prior to this role, Alonso held significant positions at Marvel Entertainment from 2001 to November 2017, including Editor in Chief and Executive Editor. Alonso's editorial experience also includes a tenure at DC Comics from 1994 to 2000, where the title of Editor was held. Academically, Alonso earned a Master of Science in Journalism from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism between 1992 and 1993, and previously obtained a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of California, Santa Cruz from 1984 to 1987.
