Senior Manager, Service Design at Aware Super

Jessica Lay has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Jessica currently works as a Senior Manager of Service Design at Aware Super since July 2023. Prior to this, they worked at IAG as a Lead Service Designer from July 2021 to July 2023 and as a Senior Service Designer from June 2019 to July 2021.

Before IAG, Jessica worked at Train as a Program Designer and Trainer from February 2017 to April 2019. At Train, they developed and delivered programs teaching practical Human Centred Design skills to internal teams.

From 2014 to 2019, Jessica worked at Neoteny Service Design as a Lead Service and Experience Designer. Jessica worked on transformational projects for organizations and not-for-profits, including the City of Sydney, the Australian Red Cross Blood Service, and the Australian Tax Office, among others. Jessica also worked on strategic design projects with the Australian National University (ANU).

In 2014, Jessica had an internship as a UX Intern at Digital Eskimo, where they developed their skills in user research, facilitation, workshop design, and the implementation of digital projects.

Jessica started their career as a Graphic Designer at Yaffa Publishing from January 2012 to February 2014. Prior to that, they had a Design Internship at Penguin Books from September 2011 to October 2011. Jessica also had a Branding & Design Internship at Principals in June 2009 and worked as a Graphic Designer at Onfiya, a Young Achievement Australia Company, from March 2008 to November 2008.

Throughout their career, Jessica has gained a wide range of skills in service design, user experience, graphic design, and program development. Jessica has experience working with various clients and has contributed to the development of impactful projects.

Jessica Lay has a diverse educational background. In 2019, they completed the BidPro Masterclass at TenderLink. In 2013, they attended General Assembly in Sydney, where they pursued a 12-week course in User Experience Design. During the same year, they took a short course in HTML5, CSS3, and Media Queries: Responsive Design at the Centre for Continuing Education at The University of Sydney. Jessica'sformal education includes a Bachelor of Design in Visual Communication (Honours) from the University of Technology Sydney, which they obtained between 2007 and 2010. In addition to their academic qualifications, Jessica Lay obtained a Mini MBA from the Australian Institute of Management in September 2022.
