John Andrew Baynes, Ph.D., CFA

John Andrew Baynes, Ph.D., CFA has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over two decades. John Andrew currently holds the role of CFO at Awecom since March 2023. Prior to this, they served as an Advisor at Awecom from July 2021 to February 2023. From 2018 to the present, they worked as an Assistant Professor of Economics & Finance at Canisius College. In 2017, they briefly served as an Instructor at the University of Rochester, and in 2015, they held the same position at the same institution. Earlier in their career, they worked as an Associate at Goldman Sachs from 2001 to 2008 and as an Analyst at Commonwealth Associates, Inc. from 2000 to 2001.

John Andrew Baynes, Ph.D., CFA holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Economics and a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Economics, both from the University of Rochester. John Andrew also pursued post-baccalaureate study at the University of Pennsylvania. Baynes received their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in History from Yale University. Moreover, they obtained the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter from the CFA Institute in October 2005.
