Gareth Paterson

Gareth Paterson has a diverse work experience history. Gareth began their career as a Dishwasher/Line Cook at Newport Grill on Lake Bonavista in 2011. In 2013, they worked as a Retail Merchandiser Team Lead at North American Merchandising Services Canada. In 2014, Gareth interned as an EEDP Intern at GE, where they gained knowledge in designing software and performing testing and debugging of embedded systems. Gareth then joined the University of Calgary as a Student in 2011 and continued until 2016. From 2017 to 2020, Gareth worked as a Software Developer at Pason, where they revitalized a behavioral Selenium test suite and rewrote legacy pages using the Pyramid framework. In 2020, they joined Awesense as a Back End Developer, where they focused on increasing unit test cases, optimizing client data, and enhancing access granularity through a revamped permissions system.

Gareth Paterson completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Calgary, from the year 2011 to 2016. In addition to their formal education, they also obtained certifications in "Data Analysis with Pandas and Python" from Udemy in October 2021, and in "Oauth 2.0" from the same institution in June 2021.
