Bernardo Serrano López

Bernardo Serrano López is the current CEO of AXA Colpatria and has over 20 years of experience in the insurance and banking industries.

López began their career as the CEO of BCI Seguros, a Chilean insurance company, before moving to BCI Banco de Credito e Inversiones, where they served as the CEO Board Coordinator. In 2006, they became the owner and CEO of Innoliva, a startup olive oil company that today is the largest producer of virgin olive oil in the world.

In 2007, Lopez led the arrival of AXA in South America, first in Brazil with the inauguration of an insurance and reinsurance company, followed by the acquisition of the JV with AXA Colpatria in Colombia. Bernardo has served as the CEO of AXA Colpatria for the past 8 years during which time the company has grown to be the third biggest insurance company in Colombia.

Bernardo Serrano López has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from IESE Business School - University of Navarra, a degree in Business and Economics from Universidad de Navarra, and a postgrad program in Finance from University of California, Berkeley.
