Tor Arve Kvalnes

Tor Arve Kvalnes has extensive work experience in various technology and IT-related roles. Tor Arve is currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer at Axactor since August 2021. Prior to this, they worked as the Technical Director at Aptic AB from May 2019 to August 2021.

Before joining Aptic AB, Tor Arve Kvalnes held positions at Lindorff, where they served as the Acting IT Director from October 2018 to May 2019 and as the Deputy Business CIO from September 2012 to October 2018. In their role as the Deputy Business CIO, they were responsible for managing the development and operation of Collection, Loan, and 3rd party IT systems in Norway and Denmark. Tor Arve successfully implemented new functions, roles, team lead positions, development methodology, support and operation processes using best practice principles.

Prior to their time at Lindorff, Tor Arve Kvalnes worked at Nets (Bankenes BetalingsSentral) as a Manager, where they played a key role in building the IT department for trusted services (BankID) and creating new business. Tor Arve also gained several years of experience as a project manager for business and IT development projects during their tenure at Nets.

Before Nets, Tor Arve Kvalnes was a co-founder and IT Security Adviser at Component Software AS, where they established the IT security area and worked with Public Key Infrastructure solutions (PKI) and IT security consulting for customers. Tor Arve also worked as an IT Consultant at Christiania Consulting AS, where they provided technical consultancy and advisory services to customers, including the Norwegian Army and Photocure.

Tor Arve Kvalnes started their career as a System Technician in the Norwegian Military, where they operated, maintained, and supported IT systems. Tor Arve also managed a local operation center supporting multiple locations and over 500 users during their time in the military.

Overall, Tor Arve Kvalnes has a diverse background in technology leadership, project management, IT security, and consultancy, making him a valuable asset in the field.

Tor Arve Kvalnes completed their education in Information Technology at the Norwegian Army College of Engineering (HTFS/E) in 1996, where they obtained a degree as an IT System Specialist. Prior to that, they completed their officer training at the same institution from 1993 to 1996. In addition, they also earned a degree as a System Technician with a focus on Electronics from the Norwegian Army College of Engineering (HTFS/E) between 1993 and 1995. Tor Arve Kvalnes also holds additional certifications, including ITIL Foundation obtained in 2013, Prince2 Practitioner obtained in February 2012, and Prince2 Foundation obtained in 2011.
