Gaurav Verma

Gaurav Verma has a strong background in IT Risk and Security, spanning several companies and roles. Gaurav currently holds the position of Head of IT Risk and Security at AXE Group, where they are responsible for creating and executing the cybersecurity roadmap, managing security incidents and investigations, and conducting security awareness training. Prior to this, Gaurav served as DGM - IT at Paytm, overseeing IT infrastructure and security for a large group of companies. Gaurav has also held the position of Senior Manager - Information Technology at RIVIGO, where they led IT infrastructure and security strategy for a large enterprise. Gaurav's experience also includes roles at PayU, where they built and managed an IT infrastructure team, and Raheja Developers Ltd., where they provided operational IT security support. Gaurav began their career as a System Engineer at Master computers, handling IT security, support, and database management.

Gaurav Verma's education history includes obtaining a Cyber Law degree in cybersecurity from Symbiosis International University from 2017 to 2018. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Computer Applications (M.C.A.) degree from Maharshi Dayanand University from 2011 to 2013 and a Bachelor of Computer Applications (B.C.A.) degree from the same university from 2008 to 2011. Additionally, Gaurav Verma has acquired multiple certifications in various cybersecurity domains, including becoming a certified Cyber Crime Intervention Officer from the National Security Database in November 2021. Gaurav has also obtained certifications from Amazon Web Services (AWS), cleanexit, (ISC)², ICSI, Institute of Information Security (IIS), Cisco, CertiProf, Charles Sturt University, University of Derby, EXIN, Microsoft, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and Tenable in areas such as cloud computing, network security, professional ethics, GDPR data protection, IT service management, incident handling, risk management framework, vulnerability management, and more.
