Markus Jonsson

Markus Jonsson is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in managing and developing engineering teams across various organizations. Currently serving as a Staff Engineer at Axial since January 2023, Markus previously worked as a Platform Engineer at Crosswalk, where infrastructure was built in AWS using Terraform, and CI/CD was implemented with GitHub Actions. As Director of Engineering at Gainful and Dopple, Markus managed distributed teams and developed QA automation pipelines and technical architecture. Markus also held significant roles at Tentrr, where leadership of full-stack engineering teams was provided, and at Vizrt, overseeing professional services and delivering complex video workflow systems to broadcasters across North and South America. Early career experience includes software engineering at Ardendo AB. Markus holds a degree from Umeå University, completed in 2006.
