Lori Kay Brown has extensive experience in web development, with a strong focus on scientific and software support. Lori Kay began their career as a Graphics Coordinator for a law firm, where they handled visual information presentation. Lori Kay then transitioned into web development, working as a UI Developer for SiteScape, Celera Corporation, and Applied Biosystems, where they designed and coded web interfaces. At SM Consulting, they served as a web producer, developing new web capabilities and performing site cleanup and maintenance. Lori then joined Earth Resources Technology as a Senior Web Developer, where they designed, coded, produced, and maintained numerous web sites for NOAA and other customers. Lori Kay continued their web development career at StormCenter Communications as a Senior Scientific Analyst & Web Developer, responsible for website development, management, and policy compliance. Following this role, they joined I. M. Systems Group Inc. (IMSG) as a Scientific and Software Support Specialist, where they continued their responsibilities in website development, management, and policy compliance. Most recently, Lori worked at Caelum Research Corporation and Axiom Consultants as a Sr. Web Developer. Throughout their career, Lori has demonstrated expertise in various web technologies, such as HTML, PHP, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX, and has been involved in scientific visualization projects related to satellite data products.

Lori Kay Brown completed 9 courses for their Masters in Information Technology from The Johns Hopkins University - Carey Business School, from 1998 to 2000. Prior to that, they pursued graduate coursework in US Women's History at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 1988 to 1990. Lori Kay obtained their BA with Honors in Economics and History from Michigan State University from 1982 to 1986.
