Mutahar Mehkri

Mutahar Mehkri is an accomplished aerospace professional currently serving as an Exploration Spacesuit Systems Safety Engineer at Axiom Space since May 2023. Prior experience includes the role of Extravehicular Safety Engineer for NASA at SAIC from June 2020 to May 2023, and Educator at Numerade from December 2020 to December 2021. Mutahar's background also features positions as an Aerospace Engineer at International Aviation Composites and Associate Manufacturing Engineer at General Motors, along with an internship as a PLM CAD Intern at BEUMER Group. Mutahar holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical/Space Engineering from Mississippi State University, and a Master of Business Administration in Aerospace Logistics/Engineering Management from Southeastern Oklahoma State University, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Aerospace Engineering from The University of Texas at Arlington.
