Roy Schwartz has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Roy currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer at Axios HQ, a position they assumed in 2023. Prior to that, in 2016, they were a Founder and President at Axios, where they played a key role in launching a new media company focused on delivering reliable news and analysis. At Politico, they worked as the Chief Revenue Officer from 2009 to 2016 and as the Vice President of Marketing and Business Development from 2008 to 2009. Roy was instrumental in driving revenue growth and overseeing global business strategy and acquisitions. Before that, Schwartz worked at The Gallup Organization as a Partner from 2003 to 2008, where they excelled in sales, marketing, and human resource strategy. Roy also had a stint as a Senior Specialist at MCI Worldcom from 2001 to 2002, managing various projects for sales, advertising, and marketing departments. Prior to that, they served as an Associate at Womens Growth Capital Fund from 1999 to 2001, conducting evaluation interviews and due diligence research in high-growth industries. Roy Schwartz attended the University of Maryland - Robert H. Smith School of Business from 1993 to 1998, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business. Roy then went on to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the same institution from 1999 to 2001.
