Sam Baker

Sam Baker is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience in health care reporting and editing. Currently serving as a Senior Editor and Health Care Editor at Axios since May 2017, Baker previously held positions at National Journal from October 2013 to May 2017 as a Staff Correspondent, where health care and the Supreme Court were key focus areas. Earlier roles included Staff Writer at The Hill, covering similar topics from April 2011 to October 2013, and Associate Editor for both Inside Health Reform and FDA Week at Inside Washington Publishers from May 2007 to April 2011. Baker holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia, completed in 2006.
