Brian O'Connell has a wide range of experience in the insurance industry. Brian began their career at Chubb in 1991, where they held various roles, including North American A&H Operation Manager and Vice President - North American Accident & Health Business Center Manager. In these positions, they were responsible for overseeing operations, managing business plans, and working with different departments to achieve objectives.

In 2016, O'Connell joined AXIS Capital, where they served as Vice President - Director of Operations, leading AXIS Accident & Health North American Operations. Brian implemented strategies, assessed business processes' effectiveness and efficiency, and provided oversight to the Operations department. Brian then moved on to become V.P. Operations Leader of N.A. Projects & Programs, where they supported all AXIS Divisions on key strategic projects and programs. Brian facilitated underwriting operations project management, system delivery, and operational transformation. In their most recent role as Head of Global Accident and Health Operations and Head of Global A&H Business Solutions, O'Connell oversaw the development and execution of the worldwide strategic direction for the A&H division, focusing on retail, wholesale, and program business. Brian also integrated leading-edge technology for core business processes.

Brian O'Connell attended Monmouth University from 1984 to 1989, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and Psychology. In 2009 to 2010, they also attended the CIOP Institute and obtained a CIOP Designation in Operations Excellence. Brian has an additional certification in Customer Service: Creating Customer Value from LinkedIn, obtained in 2019.
