Tovah Markowitz

Tovah Markowitz is a skilled bioinformatics analyst currently working at Axle Informatics since November 2021, with a focus on analyzing ChIP-seq, ATAC-seq, and RNA-seq data, along with experience in WES/WGS, TCGA data mining, Hi-C, scRNA-seq, and scATAC-seq. Prior to this role, Tovah served as a bioinformatics analyst at the Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research from August 2018 to October 2021, and gained academic experience as a postdoctoral researcher and teaching assistant at New York University between 2010 and 2018, where Tovah led discussions and lectured on bioinformatics tools. Tovah's career began at Columbia University as a laboratory technician, and Tovah holds a Ph.D. in Biology from New York University, complemented by a master's degree from the same institution and a bachelor's degree from Goucher College.
