Holly Rore, PhD has worked in various roles in the scientific field since 2014. Holly began their career as a PhD Student at the University of Aberdeen. In 2016, they completed an Internship with the BBSRC, where they worked closely with the Engagement Team to review the Council's approach to scientific outreach to young people. In 2018, they became a Trainee Clinical Scientist at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, where they developed skills working in a busy IVF and diagnostic Andrology laboratory. Holly also took on the role of STP North West Trainee Network Co-Chair. In 2021, they joined Axol Bioscience Ltd. as a Senior Scientist and Stem Cell Scientist, where their primary responsibility is the differentiation of human iPSC-derived cell products for use in commercial and academic research.
Holly Rore obtained a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Stem Cell and Reproductive Biology from the University of Aberdeen between 2014 and 2018. From 2018 to 2021, they studied at The Manchester Metropolitan University and earned an MSc Clinical Science in Cellular Sciences. Holly also obtained a BSc (Hons) in Human Embryology and Developmental Biology from the University of Aberdeen between 2010 and 2014. Her educational background began at Mearns Academy, where they completed Scottish Highers between 2004 and 2010.
