Luke Morton has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Luke started their career as a General Assistant at Sainsbury's, where they rotated stock, assisted customers, and performed code checks. Luke then worked as an Online Delivery Driver, ensuring prompt and safe delivery of orders. Luke also gained experience in the IT industry, working for companies like Capita Managed IT Solutions as a Service Desk Analyst and KBS Group as a Field Service Engineer. At Capita, they provided remote IT support and acted as the sole point of contact for out-of-hours support. At KBS Group, Luke maintained and installed devices at customer sites. Luke then joined Cased Dimensions as an IT Support Engineer, providing on-site technical support to clients. Luke also worked at Google as an IT Resident, supporting end users and Google's corporate infrastructure. Prior to that, they were a Data Center Operations Technician at Amazon Web Services (AWS), where they managed the daily operations and troubleshooting of server and networking equipment. Currently, Luke works at Axonista as a Quality Assurance Engineer, responsible for ensuring the quality of their video CMS web app, APIs, and mobile applications.
Luke Morton pursued their education in the field of computing. Luke attended Lagan College from 2006 to 2013, completing their A-Levels and GCSEs. In 2013, they enrolled at Robert Gordon University and obtained a Diploma of Higher Education (DipHE) in Computing, which lasted until 2017. During this time, they also attended North East Scotland College in 2017 for a course on digital photography.
In 2017, Luke attended Belfast Metropolitan College, where they obtained a Microsoft Technology Associate certification in HTML 5 Application Development Fundamentals. Luke then furthered their education at Dublin Business School from 2022 to 2023, completing a Higher Diploma in Science in Computing with a specialization in Software Development.
In addition to their formal education, Luke has obtained several certifications. Luke became Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) by ISTQB® - International Software Testing Qualifications Board in December 2021. Luke also obtained the following certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (August 2020), G Suite Administration Specialization (May 2020), Cloud Engineering with Google Cloud Specialization (April 2020), Microsoft Windows Server 2016 Training (February 2020), Business Transformation with Google Cloud (May 2019), G Suite Administrator Fundamentals (April 2019), MTA: HTML5 Application Development Fundamentals - Certified 2018 (January 2018), AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (January 2021), Associate Cloud Engineer (June 2020), and Professional Collaboration Engineer (June 2020).
