Alexander Akselevich has extensive work experience in the field of cybersecurity. Alexander started their career in 2011 with the IDF Elite Technological Unit, where they worked as an Information security hands-on analyst and later as an Information & Network security hands-on specialist/operative. In these roles, they conducted cyber security forensic investigations, managed squads and small teams, and analyzed network and system security.
After their time with the IDF, Akselevich joined TrapX Security in 2015 as an SW Engineer. Here, they researched and implemented methods for detecting and analyzing malware and advanced threats within organizations. Alexander also worked on the development of honeypots, deception systems, and secure communication applications.
In 2017, Akselevich joined Verint Cyber Intelligence Solutions as a Cyber Intelligence Solutions Cyber Security Researcher. In this role, they focused on malware research and the improvement of threat detection and automatic response mechanisms.
In 2018, Akselevich worked for Cympire as a Cyber Challenge R&D specialist, where they planned, researched, and developed cyber challenge campaigns. Alexander integrated various skills and technologies into these campaigns, including web development and reverse engineering.
In the same year, they also worked at Cyberbit as a Cyber Security Specialist, primarily focusing on malware and attack campaign research. Alexander developed attack and defense scenarios for simulated simulations and adapted real-life cyber-attacks into educational scenarios.
Most recently, Akselevich joined Axonius in 2019 as a Site Reliability Engineer and later took on roles as an SRE Team Leader and Principal Sustaining Engineer. In these positions, they were responsible for ensuring the stability and reliability of the company's systems and leading a team of engineers.
Throughout their career, Alexander Akselevich has consistently demonstrated their expertise in cybersecurity and has actively contributed to the development and improvement of security systems and technologies.
Alexander Akselevich attended Ha-Kfar Ha-Yarok from 2005 to 2011, where they studied Mathematics and Computer Science. From 2009 to 2011, they also pursued a Bachelor's degree, partial, in Computer Science and Cognition at The Open University of Israel.
