Manuel Cardoso has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Manuel has held positions at Valley Family Center as a Board Member, where they focused on providing counseling and educational services to strengthen families. At Axos Bank, they served as the SVP Fair Lending Officer & Compliance Analytics, mitigating Fair Lending risks and supporting the CRA program. Manuel also held the role of SVP, Enterprise Risk and Loan Review, where they leveraged analytics and data-driven indicators to enhance risk monitoring and train the risk team.

Manuel was a Board Member at Plastic Beach, a non-profit organization advocating for plastic bag recycling. Manuel also held leadership positions at American Express, serving as the Chief Credit Officer (CCO), and at Standard Chartered Bank as the Head of Risk Monitoring and Senior Manager of Risk Analytics.

Prior to that, Manuel worked at HSBC as the Senior Credit Risk Manager, overseeing risk strategy in Asia Pacific and Europe. Manuel has expertise in regulatory frameworks, risk portfolio management, and credit risk analytics. Manuel also has experience in finance and analytics from their roles at Bradford & Bingley plc, BI Consultancy - Startup, Providian Financial Corporation, and Interagri S.A.

Manuel attended Belgrano Day School from 1980 to 1990, where they completed their Bachelor's and High School education.

In 1991, they enrolled at Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina 'Santa María de los Buenos Aires' and pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. Manuel successfully completed their undergraduate education in 1997.

Afterwards, in 1998, Manuel Cardoso joined ESEADE, where they pursued a Master's degree in Finance. Manuel completed their studies in 1999.

In the year 2000, Manuel Cardoso attended Les Halles Consulting, where they obtained a degree in Strategic Planning, specifically focusing on Strategy.

In 2004, they pursued further education at the American Management Association, specializing in Business Administration and Management. Manuel completed an upgrade in Management during that time.

Later, in 2006, Manuel Cardoso joined the University of Warwick - Warwick Business School for an MBA degree. Manuel'sfield of study during the MBA program was Strategy & Management. Manuel successfully completed their MBA in 2009.

In 2022, they obtained the Fair Lending Expert (FLE) certification from Tuscan Club University, specializing in Compliance.

Moreover, Manuel Cardoso has also obtained two additional certifications. In January 2022, they became a Certified Blockchain Expert through the Blockchain Council. Manuel also obtained the Certified Fraud Specialist (CFS) certification in fraud risk, earning 8.0 CPE credits from BankerCollege in April 2022.
