Vincent Liu

Mr. Liu joined AXT in March 1993 and has held various positions with increasing responsibility. He began as a manufacturing engineer and subsequently has served as an AXT manager, director, vice president and general manager. Mr. Liu was responsible for the establishment of AXT’s China company, Beijing Tongmei Crystal Technology Co., Ltd. (“Tongmei”) in Beijing, when AXT moved its manufacturing process to China. He is credited with ramping volume production of gallium arsenide substrate wafers for AXT in China, beginning in 2000, and has been responsible for the management of Tongmei since its inception. As General Manager for AXT in China, Mr. Liu was responsible for site selection, development, and the successful relocation of gallium arsenide for AXT. He is also responsible for government relations and as General Manager for AXT in China he continues to oversee AXT’s operations at each site.

Mr. Liu has a degree in Electronic Engineering from Beijing University in China.
