Wei Zhang

Dr. Zhang joined AXT in 2017 as Senior Director of Product Applications and Quality Assurance. He provides technical support to our customers and works with customers to ensure common understanding of the detailed product specifications. Dr. Zhang also assists customers in product and site qualifications. Dr. Zhang is also the program manager for AXT’s patents and intellectual property and is frequently tapped as the project manager for special projects, market research and other programs. From 2008 to 2017, Dr. Zhang was at Veeco Instruments, an innovative manufacturer of semiconductor process equipment, first as Senior Scientist and subsequently as Technology Manager of the AsP Group. From 2006 to 2008, Dr. Zhang was an Assistant Research Professor at Northwestern University.

Dr. Zhang earned his Ph.D. in Electric & Electronic Engineering from Northwestern University.
