EVP & General Counsel at Aypa Power

Christie has more than a decade of experience in large-scale energy and infrastructure development and risk management. Since joining NRStor C&I in 2019, Christie has led all legal, regulatory, and human resource matters, including structuring its groundbreaking Honeywell partnership, overseeing the successful acquisition by Blackstone Energy Partners, and rebranding the company as Aypa Power.

Christie previously maintained a private practice at Torys LLP, with a focus on utility-scale renewable energy and transmission projects, P3 infrastructure, and Indigenous partnerships. She represented the Canadian Bar Association at the COP15 and COP16 United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change negotiations, and is an Executive Committee member of the Climate Change Lawyers Network. Christie also serves as Chair of the Board of Teach For Canada, a non-profit organization that partners with First Nations to improve educational equality.

Christie holds a J.D. (Hons.) from the University of Toronto and is called to the bars of New York, Ontario, and the Northwest Territories.
