Nicole V. Gasmen

Nicole V. G. is an experienced legal professional specializing in immigration law, currently serving as an Immigrant Justice Corps Fellow at Ayuda since September 2023, where Nicole provides direct immigration legal services to unaccompanied immigrant children. Prior roles include a Legal Extern at HIAS, where responsibilities encompassed drafting a declaration for an affirmative asylum claim and conducting client interviews, and a Student Attorney at the Immigrant Justice Clinic, where Nicole co-represented clients in immigration proceedings and led workshops for Afghan asylum-seekers. Additional experience includes judicial intern roles, program assistance for the American Bar Association, and project development for The Bridge US. Nicole earned a Juris Doctor from the American University Washington College of Law in 2023, following a Bachelor’s Degree in International/Global Studies from American University and a brief study at Yonsei University.
