Serge Vanderschueren

Serge Vanderschueren has extensive experience in the healthcare field, currently serving as the Medical Director at AZ Groeninge, one of the largest hospitals in Belgium, since October 1993. In addition, Serge holds a position as a Board Member in various organizations, including the Flemish Association of Chief Medical Officers since February 2015 and the Laboratory Medicine (Hematology) at AZ Sint-Lucas Brugge since May 2014. Previous roles include Medical Director at O.L.V.-Hospitaal Kortrijk from 1997 to 2001 and various board memberships, such as at KU Leuven from 2009 to 2017 and the Vlaams Ziekenhuisnetwerk KU Leuven from 2012 to 2014. Serge Vanderschueren's education includes an MD in Medicine from Ghent University, completing studies between 1981 and 1993, and additional qualifications from KU Leuven and various institutions.
