Franklin Jones began their career in 1995 as a Bicycle and Pedestrian planning associate with David Evans and Associates, Inc., where they assisted transportation and land use planning leads on various bicycle and pedestrian planning initiatives. Franklin was the primary researcher behind the Bend Trails Plan, which mapped future integration of city bike lanes to recreational trails within Deschutes County, OR. In 2000, Franklin moved on to Menlo School, where they worked as a 6th Grade Educator. Finally, in 2008, they became the CEO/Founder of B-Line Sustainable Urban Delivery.
Franklin Jones obtained a BA in History and Environmental Studies from Bowdoin College in 1993. Prior to this, they attended Kentucky Country Day School.
