Jimmy Baker

Jimmy Baker is the Executive Vice President, Brokerage at B. Riley Financial. Jimmy has over 10 years of experience in the financial industry, and has held various positions at B. Riley Securities prior to their current role.

Jimmy Baker began their career at B. Riley Securities as an Associate Analyst in July 2010. Jimmy was promoted to Senior Analyst, Equity Research in February 2011 and Managing Director and Associate Director of Equity Research in July 2015. In July 2017, they were promoted to Executive Vice President & Head of Capital Markets.

In their role as Executive Vice President & Head of Capital Markets, Jimmy Baker has helped establish B. Riley as a preeminent lead left bookrunner for middle market offerings. Jimmy has also driven better than a five fold increase in our Equity Capital Markets revenue.

B. Riley's Capital Markets platform consists of a comprehensive suite of offerings including IPOs, follow-ons, SPACs, preferred equity and equity-linked securities, baby bonds, high yield debt, and ATMs, as well as private capital solutions which include 144A and Reg D offerings. We advise issuer clients on creative capital solutions best matched for the current state of the capital markets.

Jimmy Baker received a B.A., cum laude, in Business with an emphasis in Finance from Lindenwood University. Jimmy then went on to earn their MBA from the University of Arizona.

They are on a team with Michael Markunas - Chief Compliance Officer, Knut Grevle - Head of Trading, and Alan Forman - Executive Vice President, General Counsel. Jimmy Baker reports to Andy Moore, CEO.
