Shannon MacIka

Shannon Macika, MPH, currently serves as the Global Research & Insights Lead and Senior Smart City Advisor at BABLE Smart Cities, a position held since January 2020. In this role, Shannon leads a team that focuses on delivering high-quality research and insights for global smart cities while advising on sustainability and livability initiatives. Previous experience includes roles such as Senior Smart City Advisor and Global Smart Cities Content Lead, and involvement with organizations like the American Public Health Association, EU-VRi, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, where Shannon contributed to public health and smart city development. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Health & Societies from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Public Health from The George Washington University.
