Chris Murray is the current director of customer support at Babylist. Prior to this, Chris was the senior manager of enterprise support at Samsara from October 2018 to September 2020. In this role, Chris led a rapidly growing team to match the needs of a hyper-growth company and customer base. Chris successfully scaled a 2 tier, 2 location Support Team of ~30 team members to a multi-tiered multi-location team of over 85. In addition, Chris designed and implemented multiple new roles, determined compensation bands and created new career paths including enterprise support engineer, technical account manager, critical response lead, escalations engineer, compliance auditors, and Spanish support. Under Chris's leadership, the team's eNPS score increased from 38 to 83 in just nine months.
Chris also developed a specialized Enterprise Team responsible for retaining our top customers (Over $70M ARR). Chris ensured a consistently high Customer Support experience by implementing a new Quality Assurance Program. Furthermore, Chris conducted competitor analysis to ensure that we provide higher levels of Support than the competition. Chris also built framework for multi-lingual and 24/7 support and created a new Support Team for an emerging market that Samsara is pursuing. Lastly, Chris acted as cross-functional Support Leader for Sales, Success, Legal and Product teams. Chris redefined SLAs by issue severity - improved team to over 90% compliance. Lastly, they mentored, trained & coached ~20 team members to promotions both in and out of the Support organization.
Chris Murray has a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Brigham Young University - Idaho.
