Bob Murphy

Bob Murphy is a distinguished Senior Software Engineer with extensive experience spanning over three decades in the software development industry. Currently at Backblaze since December 2021, Bob previously held senior roles at Corelight, Inc. and Telestream, LLC, among others, where Bob led initiatives in software enhancements and feature development for various platforms, including embedded systems, cloud solutions, and multimedia applications. As an Independent Consultant since 2002, Bob has contributed to projects for notable companies such as Apple and BriteSmile, Inc. Bob co-founded ShadeTree, Inc., providing custom software solutions, and has a strong educational background with postgraduate studies in Chemistry and a B.S. in Mathematics and Chemistry from Texas Christian University.
