Andrew Sutherland

Andrew Sutherland is the founder and CTO of Quizlet, a ubiquitous tool in education. Andrew founded Quizlet to help himself learn French, and grew it into a thriving business over the course of 15 years. In September 2020, they stepped down from their position as CTO to take on a new challenge as a board member at Backer. Andrew is passionate about education and believes that technology can empower learners of all ages to reach their full potential.

Andrew Sutherland attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where they studied computer science. After graduation, they began their career as a software engineer.
