John Cunningham has over 30 years of work experience in the technology industry. John began their career in 1988 as a Consultant at Andersen Consulting (Accenture). In 1990, they moved to Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) as a Team Lead in Technology Solution Services. Two years later, they became a Manager of Object Architectures at Travelers Insurance. In 1994, they joined Object Technology International as a Business Lead. In 2002, they moved to IBM as a Project Manager/Architect. In 2005, they founded Band XI International, LLC and served as Managing Partner. Finally, in 2010, they founded Bad Elf, LLC and served as CEO. At Bad Elf, LLC, they oversaw finance, sales, marketing, global supply chain, and global distribution channels. John recently pivoted from general purpose GPS design to concentrate on user-friendly, high-performance, high-accuracy GNSS receivers for public and private survey and GIS applications.

John Cunningham began their educational journey at Beverly High School from 1979 to 1982. John then attended Columbia Engineering, where they earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering Design between 1982 and 1986. Afterward, they attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst, obtaining an MSME in Mechanical Engineering/Artificial Intelligence between 1986 and 1988. Finally, they earned an MBA in Corporate Finance from the University of Connecticut School of Business between 1990 and 1995.
