Erik James R. has held various roles throughout their career. Erik James is currently working as the Agency PR and Media Relations Director at Bader Rutter. Prior to this, they founded and served as the Lead Strategist at FlyPop Agency. Erik also has experience at the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) where they worked as the Director of Brand, Creative and Production, Director of Association Marketing, and in Association Marketing. Before that, they were the Director of Content Development and Public Affairs, as well as the Director of Communications and Public Affairs at the Portland Cement Association. Erik's previous roles include Public Affairs and Communications Manager at the American Nuclear Society, and Publicity-Promotions Specialist and Communications Coordinator at the State of Illinois - Illinois Student Assistance Commission.

Erik James R. holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Broadcast Journalism, which they obtained from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. Additionally, they pursued further education and earned a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Communications and Media from Northeastern Illinois University.
